Valerie Egan (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary artist, poet, and lifelong Oregonian drawn to the intuitive expression of emotion through animals, figures and nature. Her sometimes surreal work is characterized by bold palettes, wry humor, and symbolism.

Valerie most frequently works in illustration (pen & ink, digital), paint (gouache, acrylic, oil), and fiber (quilting, embroidery, lap loom and rigid heddle weaving). Please contact regarding commissions.

She lives and works in Portland, which rests on the traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla and many other Tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River.
